Welcome to St Modans
St Modans is a purpose built nursing home in Fraserburgh, providing high quality personalised care for elderly people, including those living with dementia. It also has a separate specialist unit for people with acquired brain injuries.
Choice of living spaces
Specifically designed as a care home with subsequent extensions, it boasts an excellent standard of accommodation. All our rooms are ensuite, many with disabled access showers, and there are both public lounges and quiet rooms, offering residents a choice of environments to suit their mood.
Mental stimulation and community involvement
Providing a variety of activities for our residents is important as it helps with physical and mental stimulation. One day we might host light movement classes, while on another it could be arts and crafts classes. Community living is also important and we have frequent visits from local entertainers and good links with the local area, including pet therapy providers and the nearby nursery and primary schools.
Our staff have fantastic knowledge of the local attractions and regularly organise appropriate day trips for our residents. Friends and family are always welcome and invited to join special events.
Have a say in your care
We pride ourselves on our positive care approach which promotes independence. Residents and their families are actively encouraged to be fully involved at all stages of care planning, as well as in many other aspects of care home life.
