At Meallmore, we believe brilliant people deserved brilliant recognition. That’s why every year, we come together to celebrate the dedication, compassion, and excellence of our incredible team members who went above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of our residents.

The Meallmore Colleague Awards 2025 took place on 29th October 2025. This year, over 1,750 nominations were submitted by colleagues across the organisation - a phenomenal show of appreciation and support. Thank you for helping us shine a light on the amazing people who make Meallmore such a special place to live and work.

Nominations are now closed for 2025, and our judging panel carefully reviewed each inspiring entry. We were thrilled to announce the winner and celebrate their achievements together.

Our 2025 winners are as follows...

Emerging Talent Award

Recognises an exceptional colleague who is new to the sector or has shown significant growth in their role, making a demonstrable difference.

Winner:

Alice Harper - Manor Care Centre

Home Support Award

Acknowledges colleagues in support roles, such as administration, catering, hospitality, housekeeping, gardening, painters and maintenance, who ensure a comfortable living environment for residents.

Winner:

Steven Cowie, Alderwood House

Positive Impact Award

Honours a colleague who has positively benefited individuals, services, and the wider sector through sustained input and embodying Meallmore Values.

Avril Brown, Manor Care Centre

Home Award - Elderly & Specialist

Awards a home that demonstrates a one-team approach, respectful person-centred care, and sensitivity to residents' needs, focusing on improving outcomes and aspirations.

Winner:

Brand Ambassador Award

Celebrates a colleague who consistently represents company values and creates a positive work environment.

Winner:

Nurse of The Year Award

Presented to a nurse who exemplifies outstanding nursing practice, leadership, and respect for residents, inspiring other colleagues.

Head Office/Field-Based Support Award

Recognises colleagues from support teams (accounts, call center, reception, IT, marketing, facilities, People & Culture, L&D, HR, Compliance, Recruitment etc.) who provide essential support functions across services.

Meaningful Activities Award

Celebrates a person who has made an exceptional contribution to residents' quality of life, health, and happiness through their services.

Winner:

Kincaid House (Greenock)

Specialist Service Of The Year Award

Awards a home that demonstrates a one-team approach, respectful person-centred care, and sensitivity to residents' needs, focusing on improving outcomes and aspirations.

Winner:

Hilton Court

Manager Of The Year Award

Recognises a manager or deputy manager who has shown vision in developing person-centred care and leading a team to deliver good outcomes while understanding compliance and commerciality.

Winner:

Anne Gardner, Kincaid House (Greenock)

Senior Care Worker / Practitioner Award

Honours a senior care worker or practitioner who provides quality care and support, working in partnership with nursing and care colleagues.

Winner:

Karis Callaghan, Hilton Court (Rosyth)

Carer Of The Year Award

Awarded to a care worker known for providing high-quality, person-centred care and showing exemplary dedication to their role and continued personal development.

Winner:

Daniel Okang-Boye, Grove Care Home

Meals Mean More Award:

This competition encourages our chefs to push the boundaries of what's possible, experiment with new flavours and techniques, and consider the diverse dietary needs of our residents.

Winner:

Nominations were gathered from colleagues, residents, families, and visitors to celebrate those who went above and beyond in their roles. Categories ranged from Emerging Talent and Positive Impact to Nurse of the Year and Brand Ambassador. Each nomination was carefully reviewed, and winners were selected based on their remarkable achievements and commitment to excellence.
