Editor’s note

Making Care Mean More, from the inside

We have been family-owned since 1987 and we employ around 2,000 people across 30 homes in Scotland. That makes us one of the larger care employers in the country, but the team you actually work in is the twenty or so people in your home, and that is the bit that decides whether a job is any good.

So rather than list benefits, we asked colleagues to describe their own week: what they do, what is hard about it, what keeps them here. Every story is published with that person's consent and in their own words. If a role sounds like yours, our roles pages set out what each job actually involves, and career pathways shows where it can lead.

Our Colleague Awards are the other side of the same thing - our people nominating each other for the work that does not always get noticed, and our learning and development pages cover the training and qualifications behind it.
