Daviot Care Home’s Music Festival raises £1,195 for resident funds, showcasing Meallmore’s vibrant community spirit and commitment to enriching lives.
At Meallmore, we believe that life should be vibrant, joyful, and full of new experiences – no matter your age. That spirit was shining brightly at Daviot Care Home recently, as residents, families, colleagues and local friends gathered for an unforgettable Music Festival that combined entertainment, community spirit, and heartfelt fundraising.
Held on Sunday, 8th June, the festival transformed Daviot into a hub of music, laughter and connection. The event proved to be a huge success, raising an impressive £1,195 for the Residents’ Fund – funds that will go directly into creating even more enriching activities and special moments for everyone who calls Daviot home.
The afternoon kicked off with live music performances that delighted all in attendance. Talented artists Christopher Giubarelli and Calum McPhail brought their unique energy and talents to the stage. Christopher entertained the crowd from 1pm to 2pm, filling the air with lively tunes, while Calum kept the momentum going from 2pm to 3pm, ensuring there were smiles, toe-taps, and even some dancing in the aisles.
Music has a unique power to connect people, and the performances reminded everyone that joy and creativity can thrive in every stage of life.
Beyond the music, the festival buzzed with activity as guests explored various fundraising stalls offering a delightful mix of treats and treasures. From delicious home baking to books, a raffle, and the tempting taste of Loch Ness Ice Creams, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The stalls were a hub of laughter and conversation, showcasing the strong community ties that make Daviot such a special place.
Food and refreshments, prepared by the dedicated Daviot team, added to the day’s appeal, ensuring that guests and residents alike were well-fed and refreshed as they enjoyed the festivities.
Care Home Manager at Daviot Care Home, Helen Thom, expressed pride in the event’s success, saying:
“Moments like these are what life at Daviot is all about. Our Music Festival was more than a fundraiser – it was a celebration of community, music, and the wonderful people who make our home so special. Seeing residents, families, and local friends come together, singing and laughing, reminds us every day why we love what we do. We’re incredibly grateful to Christopher, Calum and everyone who helped make the day so memorable. The funds raised will go directly towards enriching the lives of our residents and creating even more moments like this.”
