The wait is over – the Meallmore Games 2025 launch Monday, 11 August, and we’re ready for a week of friendly competition, creativity, and plenty of laughter. Across our homes, teams are prepared to give it their all – whether they’re throwing paper planes, nailing a hole-in-one, or flying through the laundry triathlon – all in the spirit of teamwork and fun.
This year’s Games promise a stellar mix of skill, creativity, and camaraderie. Our daily challenges are designed to include everyone – residents and colleagues alike – with each event adapted so all can take part. And with scoreboards, photo galleries, and highlight reels being shared every day, everyone can follow the action no matter where they are.
This year we have an incredible line-up of teams from across Meallmore. Each one has its own name, captain, and a whole lot of personality:
(Some homes’ team names and captains will be revealed as the week unfolds – so keep watching!)
The fun kicks off with our Opening Ceremony video on Monday morning, followed by:
With each challenge, teams will be battling for points – but creativity, team spirit, and inclusivity will be just as important as speed and skill.
At the heart of the Meallmore Games is our commitment to Creating welcoming environments, Acting with accountability, Recognising colleagues, and Engaging in continuous improvement. It’s not just about winning – it’s about coming together, sharing moments, and making memories.
From the passing-the-candle tradition that unites all our homes, to the team flags and songs that tell each group’s story, the Games are a celebration of our Meallmore family.
So get ready to cheer, snap photos, share your highlights, and join us in making the Meallmore Games 2025 our best yet. The fun begins on Monday – see you at the starting line!
We’re committed to sharing knowledge, advice, and updates from across our care homes and the world of care. Read our latest articles, resident stories, and company updates.
