Kynnaird House Care Home celebrates top inspection grades, with residents, families and colleagues praising outstanding care.
Over the past few weeks, our chefs from 19 different Meallmore care homes put their love and passion for food to the test, competing in the annual Meallmore Shot and Smoothie Competition. They had to come up with a deliciously nutritious shot or smoothie that was both highly calorific and economical for our care home residents to enjoy.
Our catering teams are fantastic at what they do, and they always creatively incorporate nutritious, high quality ingredients into their amazing meals for our residents.
This competition was hosted as a fun event that encouraged chefs to utilise their professional skills, understanding of nutrition, and their creative flair to come up with a winning shot or smoothie.

The winners were announced by Cillian Hennessey who recorded a thoughtful video, congratulating the winners and all the entrants. The winners of this competition will receive high-quality, tailored hampers from Milac Gold and these will be enjoyed by residents at St Modans and Ivybank.
Group Hospitality Manager, Jody Marshall, had this to say: ‘The quality of this year's entries was outstanding, and it is great to see our catering standard increase year on year. This competition highlights the tailored quality of the meals we produce at Meallmore, and our resident-focused approach ensures that we meet the nutritional needs of everyone.
‘I am proud of all our catering teams, especially during these unprecedented times. Well done to all our entrants who got involved and special congratulations to Paul and Brian on their win, well deserved.’
We are delighted to see such an amazing turn out to this contest and look forward to seeing what our chefs come up with next.
