Hello, I'm Nicola. I am the Care Home Manager at Crimond House Care Home in Fraserburgh, bringing over 20 years of experience in nursing and care home leadership.
I began my career in 2004 after qualifying in Nursing – Children and Young People at Robert Gordon University. I joined Meallmore at Kynnaird House, where I quickly discovered a passion for working in elderly care. I went on to spend 18 years there, developing my skills and progressing to the role of Clinical Lead.
Following this, I joined the Care Home Support Team in Aberdeenshire as a Senior Care Home Support Nurse. In this role, I worked across a number of homes, providing training, supporting quality improvement and strengthening understanding of Care Inspectorate standards. I was also selected to take part in the Queen’s Nurse Development Programme, which was a hugely valuable experience and helped shape my approach to leadership and person-centred care.
I am currently completing a degree in leadership and quality development, and I’m passionate about creating environments where residents feel safe, supported and able to live well. I also strongly believe in supporting colleagues to grow and develop, and I’m committed to building positive, confident teams who can deliver the very best care every day.
At Meallmore, we understand the challenges faced by individuals diagnosed with dementia who require expert 24-hour care and can no longer maintain their independence at home. We are here to offer compassionate assistance and dedicated care to individuals navigating the journey of dementia, ensuring their wellbeing and comfort every step of the way.
We understand the unique challenges faced by individuals with medical conditions and personal living needs that require 24-hour assistance and care from qualified nurses. Choose Meallmore for a place where you can feel safe, supported, and cared for like family, regain strength, independence, and enjoy the best possible quality of life.
At Meallmore, we understand that there are times when individuals may require a temporary living arrangement at a care home. This is known as respite, which refers to a short stay in a care home that can range from a few days to a couple of weeks.
