All bedrooms are private and ensuite, with a selection of spacious rooms and executive suites available. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with familiar furniture, photographs and personal belongings so that their room truly feels like their own space.
Within the home, residents can enjoy a range of facilities including a cinema room, hair and beauty salon, café areas, private dining room and comfortable lounges. Kelvinside Manor provides 24-hour nursing care for residents who require additional clinical support and monitoring. Our experienced team of nurses and care colleagues support residents with a wide range of needs, including long-term nursing care, palliative care, recovery following illness or hospital stays, and support with mobility or complex health conditions.
Each resident has a personalised care plan tailored to their individual needs and preferences. Our team takes time to get to know each resident, ensuring care is delivered in a way that supports independence, dignity and overall wellbeing.
We work closely with local healthcare professionals and hospitals including Gartnavel General Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, ensuring continuity of care and support for residents and their families.
We provide specialist dementia care in a safe, supportive and understanding environment. Our team is trained in dementia care and understands the importance of routine, familiarity and meaningful engagement.
Our approach focuses on creating calm and comfortable surroundings, providing structured but flexible daily routines, and ensuring residents living with dementia feel safe, supported and valued. We also work closely with families to ensure we understand each resident’s life story, preferences and routines so we can provide truly person-centred care.
Kelvinside Manor also offers respite care and short-term stays, whether that is following a hospital stay, to support recovery, or to allow family carers to take a well-earned break.
Many families use respite care as a way to experience the home before making a longer-term decision, and respite residents receive the same level of care, access to facilities and activities as our permanent residents.
We believe that life in a care home should be fulfilling, enjoyable and meaningful. Our chefs prepare fresh, nutritious meals each day using quality ingredients, and menus are tailored to residents’ preferences and dietary requirements.
Our activities program is designed around residents’ interests and includes a mixture of social activities, entertainment, wellbeing sessions, hobbies and local outings. Residents can choose how they spend their day, whether that’s joining group activities, spending time in the garden, enjoying visits from family, or simply relaxing in one of our lounges.
Our home is located in Glasgow’s West End, allowing residents to remain connected to their local community and the city they know and love.
