I have worked in the care industry since 2004 and have a genuine passion for caring and supporting older people. I am dedicated to developing my knowledge of the sector further in order to continue making a difference to the lives of those I care for and I completed my BSc in Adult Nursing at the University of the West of Scotland in 2010 with this goal in mind.
At Mearns House, we offer a team of dedicated and highly trained staff, who go the extra mile to make our residents feel like they are living in their own home. Our approach is friendly and welcoming, and we endeavour to ensure that every decision made about a resident’s care has their voice behind it.
We offer a comprehensive programme of activities, both within the home and beyond, which includes popular hobbies such as baking, bingo, crafts and gardening, and we often enjoy visits from local entertainers. We encourage residents to keep up their hobbies and activities that give a sense of personal fulfilment and inspiration.
It is hugely important that we strive to ensure the care and support needs of not only our residents, but also our relatives and staff are met and I am committed to making Mearns House a truly great place to both live and work.

Choose Meallmore for a place where you can feel safe, supported, and cared for like family, regain strength, independence, and enjoy the best possible quality of life.
