Food and nutrition are hugely important to us. When people eat well, their health, mood and quality of life improve. Older people often have specific dietary needs, as well as individual tastes, so it is crucial to their well-being that these are correctly and safely met.

Nutritionally balanced food does not need to be boring. We aim for every meal to be of an excellent quality, full of flavour and made using fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Our chefs have earned a reputation for raising the bar regarding the quality of catering across the entire care industry. They are regularly shortlisted for the National Association of Care Catering’s (NACC) Care Chef of the Year competition and have won in the UK competition  for the last two consecutive years. 

We were proud to be involved in the development of the Care Inspectorate’s Spotlight on Food and Fluid guidance. This online resource includes advice and examples of good practice to ensure residents eat with as much selection and independence as possible.
