Pamela Geddes appointed as Manager at St Modans Care Home in Fraserburgh, marking a proud milestone in her 25-year Meallmore career.
We’re delighted to share that Pamela Geddes has been officially appointed as Care Home Manager at St Modans Care Home in Fraserburgh - a wonderful step forward in a career that spans 25 years of dedication and passion for delivering exceptional care.
Pamela has been an integral part of St Modans for some time, deeply involved in supporting residents, leading teams, and ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care. Her appointment as Manager is a recognition of her talent, commitment, and the respect she’s earned from colleagues, residents, and families alike.
Pamela’s career in care began in 2000 at Glencairn Lodge - now St Modans - where she worked as a care assistant. It was here that she first discovered her love for caring for others and making a real difference in people’s lives.
After gaining valuable experience, Pamela decided to pursue adult nursing at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Following her qualification, she worked as a staff nurse in Aberdeen, further developing her skills and compassion for those she cared for.
In May 2011, Pamela joined Meallmore as a staff nurse at Kynnaird House Care Home in Fraserburgh. Over the years, her leadership abilities and deep understanding of person-centred care saw her rise through the ranks. She became Clinical Deputy Manager in 2022, a role in which she excelled, supporting both colleagues and residents with skill and empathy.
In 2023, she took on the role of Deputy Manager at St Modans Care Home, building strong relationships with residents and families and fostering a supportive team culture.
Speaking about her appointment, Pamela shared:
“I’m thrilled to have been appointed Care Home Manager at St Modans. I’ve loved being part of this team over the past two years. I’ve developed great bonds with residents and relatives, and I’m proud to work alongside such a dedicated group of people.
“I’ll always be a nurse at heart - while I’m committed to leading a positive and empowered team culture, I’m also passionate about delivering compassionate, person-centred care and creating an environment where residents feel truly valued. This is a very proud moment for me, and I’m so grateful for all those at Meallmore who have believed in me and supported me throughout my career - as well as the residents and relatives, many of whom have become friends.”
Pamela’s appointment is a shining example of Meallmore’s commitment to developing talent from within and supporting colleagues to grow their careers. Her journey perfectly reflects our C.A.R.E. values:
